Biana Hair

02 — About

Fewer pieces, made properly.

Biana HAIR began in 2019 with a refusal to sell hair we had not touched ourselves.

Our standard

Single donor, or not at all

Mixed-donor hair looks identical in a photograph and falls apart in month three. Every bundle we sell comes from one head of hair, with cuticles aligned in one direction, so it behaves the same way from the weft to the tip.

Units are plucked, tinted and cut in our Johannesburg and Pretoria studios, not drop-shipped. That is why the collection stays small and why a piece sells out rather than being restocked overnight.

How we work

  1. 01

    Sourced

Direct from a small group of donors, tested for shedding before it enters the studio.

  2. 02

    Finished

Plucked, tinted, ventilated and cut by hand — never machine-finished in bulk.

  3. 03

    Fitted

Installed in studio, or shipped sealed with aftercare written for your texture.

How we hold the work

Hair first

The shop is the centre of the business. Units and bundles are chosen, finished and priced as pieces you can live in — not filler for a salon menu.

One donor

We will not mix hair to hit a price. If it is not single-donor, it does not leave the studio.

The chair supports the hair

Installs, cuts and revamps exist so the pieces you buy wear well. Book a service when you need the studio — shop when you need hair.
